New releases

I have had my head down over the last week going through the new releases for @sip_champagnes confirming my, already firm, beliefs that these are all stonkingly good!

Beaugrand Blanc de Blancs
What a cracker to start. Helene has created a gorgeously chalky, crisp wine with ample structure and texture. I could drink this all day, every day.

Dehours La Croix Joly 2012 Oeil de Perdrix
Proper awesome colour. Struck match and this creamy palate. Vinous, concentrated with notes of lavender, rose and an awesome salinity on the finish.

A. Levasseur Extrait Gourmand Brut Rose
This split the room a bit but I really liked the sweet stewed fruit and the creamy, aromatic palate. Oh for warmer days...

Bertrand-Delespierre Origines Croisees 2005 en magnum
Sweet nose with a dry and toasty palate. Blackcurrants and tobacco. It developed beautifully over a few days picking up loads of exotic fruit

Remi Leroy Blanc de Noir 2010 en magnum
Another wine we enjoyed over a number of days. Smokey, fruity with loads of cherry and spice. It carries the fruit nicely on the front end and begs for more time in the bottle (if you like that sort of thing!)

Remi Leroy Les Crots 2014 Rose de Saignee
Bright red hue. Vinous, Burgundian nose. The first sip is gloriously delicate then this understated ramp up of fruit and seriousness. I love how it marries the vinosity with the bubbles. If you want an example of Saignee that is balanced, fruity yet serious then look no further! Again, we enjoyed it over a few days and it just got better and better!

Pierre Callot Clos Jacquin
I have loved this wine from the first moment I tried it. A wine made in the old school way. Sweet apricots. Rich, brooding power and this tingling tension and length.

Henriet-Bazin Terroir Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut
I truly love their 2012 Marie-Amélie and had, foolishly, not given much time to their other cuvees. So on return this one jumped out and smacked me in the face. It is that good.

All now available on @sip_champagnes

As with all wines on Sip they are unreservedly wines that I like, nah LOVE. I won't recommend anything else!

And I can't recommend these highly enough!
